► About Me - Raymond Rowson

My name is Ray and I have been an upholsterer in Liverpool since 1986. I have over 30 years of experience and know all aspects of the trade from frame making, and template making, sewing and upholstering furniture ranging from antique to modern styles and using all types of fabrics including leather. Over the years I have worked on high end John Lewis sofas and suites made from scratch as well as refitting some of Liverpool's most illustrious hangouts such as The News Bar, Sakora, and Bamboo.

Most recently I have been working with Lawrence Kenwright on the White Star Line building at Liverpool's Pier Head for his Signature Living company producing headboards, sofas, beds, bars, whatever is needed. Our master upholsterers know how to turn back the ravages of time and bring the structure of your furniture back to its original condition. Whatever your furniture needs, we can help to bring it back to life. From simply covering with new fabric, replacing padding or fully refurbishing the frame and springs.

Our time-served craftsmen will ensure your furniture is cared for and upholstered to the highest standard. Every piece of furniture has its own shape and size, so these prices are intended as a guide.

► What can be reupholstered?

Chairs, sofas, recliners, chaises, foot stools, in fact you can recover almost anything in any condition and bring it back to life.

Our service comprises of standard recover through to full structural repair of your sofa. If you have a quality piece of furniture and it is showing signs of torn fabric, has wobbly legs, a creaky frame, sagging cushions, or is in need of a fabric face lift, now is a good time to consider re upholstery - we can cover any shape or size.

Our service comprises of standard recover through to full structural repair of your sofa. Choose from our large selection of fabrics before having your sofa reupholstered. Your furniture will be collected, methodically inspected and renovated by our own craftsmen.

With a huge proportion of new furniture being shipped in from the Far East, reupholstery is an altogether greener option. Reupholstery is about half the price of a quality new sofa. Your existing furniture is the right proportion for your room. All our work is produced locally.

► Foam Cushion Replacement

Saggy Cushions? Cushion replacement service covering Liverpool. Sometimes you don’t need any reupholstery or loose covers! Upholster Me is happy to replace foam cushions where necessary. We have various densities of foam to choose from and your sofa does not even have to leave the house. One of our team will come and measure your cushions and return and fit them. Simple.

► Leather

Upholster Me is expert in leather reupholstery. This craft demands skill and patience, it takes longer than fabric. Leather hides come in all different sizes, qualities and prices, we can help you choose the right one for you.

Even if your furniture has had fabric on in the past, in many situations we can reupholster with leather and make your treasured pieces better than when you bought them.
